This historic sketch of Worthington Presbyterian Church was written by Reverend Silas Johnson in October 1861. He served as minister from 1857 to 1861. Later documents in the Worthington Presbyterian Church archives refer to this document as a source for nearly all of the church history prior to 1831. According to Johnson this was "the first rough sketch from
which a historical sermon was prepared" and subsequently delivered in October 1860.
