The Worthington Parks and Recreation Community Center, located on Highland Avenue was built in 1977. This photograph taken at the dedication ceremony depicts left to right: James Probasco (Parks and Recreation Advisory Board), Richard "Woody" Searles (Director of Athletics, Worthington Parks and Recreation), John Coleman (City Council President), and Bill Poling (Worthington Parks and Recreation). The indoor recreation center earned an award from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association that year.
