Edwin Viets Griswold (b. 1879, d. 1950) is pictured here as a boy. He was the tenth of fourteen children born to Worthington and Fondelia Griswold. He graduated from Worthington High School in 1897 and attended Ohio State University Law School. He married Olive L. Snyder of Chillicothe, OH. They had one daughter, Ella S. Griswold Greenwood. After practicing law in Seattle, WA, Edwin entered Seabury Western Seminary in Evanston, IL and served as rector for Holy Cross-Immanuel, St. Matthews, and St. Elizabeth's in Chicago, IL. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason.
