This photograph shows Amanda Davis Spain (b. 1857, d. 1931) sitting in a chair reading. Born in Pennsylvania, Amanda Davis married Harlow H. Spain in 1895 in Franklin County. The couple resided in Sharon Township at 5352 North High Street through the 1920's. Amanda was also the aunt of Ivy Belle Davis Lewis (third wife of Worthington Columbus Lewis, noted Worthington resident). The Spains were members of the Worthington Methodist Church. They had one daughter, Josephine Spain.
