This photograph of Cornelia Gillespie Vest (b. 1857, d. 1931) was taken at Columbus Studio around 1900. She was born in Malta in Morgan County, Ohio. Cornelia Gillespie married Winfield P. Vest in 1877 in Morgan County and lived in Worthington one year later when their first child was born. The two lived at 91 East Granville Road and had one son, Samuel Winfield Vest, who died of diptheria at age 10, and four daughters, Katherine, Caroline, Cornelia and Bertha.

Cornelia Vest died in March 1931 from apoplexy and is buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
