This photograph of Sarah Wright Lewis (b. 1860, d. 1927) was taken around the time of her marriage in 1897. Sarah Wright was born to Horatio and Harriet Thompson Wright, and is the granddaughter of Potter Wright and Lovisa Maynard and great-granddaughter of Alexander Morrison and William Thompson, all early residents of Worthington. She was raised in the Wright residence on the southeast corner of Granville Road and Morning Street, now known as Sharon Memorial Hall. On October 5th, 1897, Sarah Wright married Worthington C. Lewis in a ceremony at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Shortly after their marriage, Sarah became a member of the Worthington Methodist Church, where she was a very active member over the course of her life.
