This color photograph shows librarian Rachel Alexander and Bob Foulk at the Old Worthington Library for their wedding, which took place in the library on May 8, 1982. They smile and face the camera, and are standing under the brick archway that leads to the far east side of the building; rows of bookshelves are visible behind them. The dress Alexander wears dates from 1905; it was the graduation dress of librarian Jo Osborne's husband's aunt.
At the time, the Old Worthington Library was the only location of Worthington Libraries. Their wedding took place that evening after the library closed, with food provided by staff and Worthington mayor Lawrence Braun serving as officiant.
Alexander worked for Worthington Libraries from 1976 to 1985, and again from 1997 to 2008; during that time she served many roles, including community services librarian, children’s librarian, youth services manager and youth services materials selector.
