Two Sharon Township Fire Department fire trucks are depicted in this photograph. The truck on the left is an open cab truck. The department purchased an open cab truck from the Seagrave Company for $5,500.00 in 1931. The truck was equipped with a 500 gallon per minute pump, a 150 gallon booster water tank, and extension ladders. The truck on the right is a Dodge 500 gallon pumper, purchased for $5,000.00 in 1944. The fire department served both the City of Worthington and Sharon township, which was still largely rural in the 1950's.
