Richard Whitfield Evans (b. 1837, d. 1911) and wife Mary Evans (b. 1839, d. 1920) were married in 1867. In the 1910 census, Whitfield's occupation was listed as a tinner with his own shop in Sharon Township. Around the time this photograph was taken Whitfield was a fireman in Columbus.
