Fourth grade classes at Bluffsview Elementary School learned about the historic vocation of quilt making during the 2002-2003 school year. As part of Bluffsview's Bicentennial Arts Project students were visited by an artisan who taught them about the history of the craft. Students then created their own artistic quilts which were showcased at Bluffsview's Bicentennial Arts Open House May 1, 2003.
