In 1996 construction of a second manufacturing plant in the Industrial Park at Zanesville, Ohio was completed. A number of automated processing procedures and computer generated controls were introduced with the result that production capacity of the company was more than doubled and new cost effective manufacturing methods were adopted.

In 1999 annual sales were approaching two hundred million dollars. The need for additional trained and experienced management was becoming increasingly clear. An intense but unsuccessful search for additional qualified management plus an acquisition offer from the Kellogg cereal company of Battle Creek, Michigan led to a sale of the company to Kellogg in November of 1999.
