Students in the Worthington High School Music Department participated in the Franklin County High Schools "Annual Music Festival" in 1946. The program had been presented that year after an interval of five years. Students from eleven high schools in Franklin County performed under the direction of Capital University professors. Dr. Wilbur Crist directed the 85 piece All County Orchestra and All County Band of 125. Dr. Ellis Snyder served as conductor for the All County Mixed Chorus of 320 students, the 77 member All County Boys Glee Club and the 94 member All County Girls Glee Club. Miss Elizabeth Bird, vocal music teacher at Worthington High School served as County Music Supervisor for Worthington. She taught vocal music at Worthington from 1945-1947.
