The 1980 edition of the Worthington High School “Cardinal” yearbook features photos of students, faculty, activities, sports, social events and candid snapshots. Dr. David P. Cavanaugh was principal and Edward R. Lakey was superintendent of Worthington schools. Students in grades nine through twelve are featured in individual portrait photos.

1980 was a banner year for Worthington High School athletics. The track and baseball teams both took home first place titles at OCC, while the golf team won the OCC championship for its sixth straight year. The girls’ swim team earned the title of state champions, and the men’s gymnastics team finished second in the state by only two tenths of a point.
