This article appeared in The Ohio Mason, a weekly periodical of the Grand Lodge of Ohio, published 1916 to present. The article reports details of the dedication of new headquarters for the Grand Lodge of Ohio in Worthington on October 12, 1956 and provides a history of events leading up to the decision to construct the Grand Headquarters adjacent to New England Lodge No. 4. A permanent headquarters located in central Ohio had been desired by the Grand Lodge of Ohio as early as 1838. To that end a committee was formed in 1952 to select a site. Worthington was chosen and the Grand Lodge Headquarters were built adjacent to New England Lodge No. 4, which was restored to original form and subsequently serves as the Grand Lodge of Ohio Masonic Museum.
