Harold C. McCord (b.1904, d.1977) was Worthington Schools Superintendent for thirty-five years (1938-1973). This program documents a reception held in his honor at the time of his retirement. Before serving as Superintendent, McCord was Principal of Worthington High School, 1935-1937. Worthington Schools enrollment grew from 500 to almost 7,000 during his 43 years with the school system. He served as the chairman for Worthington's Bicentennial Committee in 1975, in celebration of the United States Bicentennial.
