Granby Elementary School sixth grade classes wrote fictional illustrated books chronicling youth experiences in Worthington during every decade between 1800 and 1990. The book, "When I Was Young in the Mountains" by Cynthia Rylant was used to inspire discussion of contemporary life experiences of children in Worthington. Students worked in small groups to research historical aspects of life in Worthington during a past decade before writing the books. This book covers the decade 1820 to 1829.
