Granby Elementary School sixth grade classes wrote illustrated fictional books chronicling youth experiences in Worthington during each decade between 1800 and 1990. The book, "When I Was Young in the Mountains" by Cynthia Rylant was as a starting point for discussions about contemporary life experiences of children in Worthington. Students worked in small groups to research historical aspects of life in Worthington during a specific decade before writing their books. This book covers the decade 1910 to 1919.
