10th Anniversary Program and Invitation
Basic details
Background
In 1972, Congregation Beth Tikvah celebrated its tenth anniversary with a gala community event. Leaders of the Columbus Jewish community and local Christian ministers participated in the celebration. The building on Indianola Avenue in Clintonville soon became too small for the growing congregation, and the search began for a new place. A property on Henderson Road seemed to be a good choice, and the congregation held an emregency meeting to consider purchasing it. But ultimately the congregation did not buy this property. In 1979 a property in Worthington was purchased for a new synagogue, located on Olentangy River Road.
