Young Child Playing Baseball

This color photograph shows a blond-haired, white boy of about five years old playing baseball. He appears to have just swung the bat; a baseball is airborne in the upper left of the photo. He wears a light-colored uniform with short sleeves and puffy, knee-length shorts, black socks and saddle shoes. Behind him, a corner of the backstop fence is visible, along with a white boy of about 10-12 years old watching, dressed in a traditional baseball uniform with blue ballcap, elbow-length shirt, black belt, pants that hit around mid-calf length and dark socks pulled up. He leans on a baseball bat and reaches for his cap with his right hand. They are on a dirt baseball diamond; behind it is green lawn, a street, sidewalk, bushes, trees and a portion visible of a brick house. 

The picture was most likely taken on the Hartford athletic field, and was possibly a Little League game, tryouts or training.
