James Lynas Dill, age 93, of Worthington. Died suddenly Tuesday, March 20, 1990 at home. Born June 12, 1896 and was father to a long-standing Worthington family. He was a retired farmer and bus driver for the Worthington School System 31 years. He was also an avid American history and civil War historian. Preceded in death by his wife, Lela Fuller Dill and son, Robert and James. Lynas was assisted in later years by companion, Eugene Lett and he is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Dolores Dill, of Galena, Ronald and Mary Lou Dill, of Worthington, Virginia Dill, of Upper Arlington; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard Dill and sister, Josephine Shuster, both of Westerville. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 1990 Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High Street, Worthington. Rev. Howard Buckley and grandson, David Dill officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 7-9 p.m.
