Robert Thomas Hale Sr. age 87 passed away peacefully from complications of Alzheimer’s disease, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Brookdale of Muirfield. Bob graduated from Millersport High School & proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War receiving the Bronze Star. Bob retired after 21 years as Chief of Police of Sharon Township Police Department. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Kathryn; sister, Betty Ann; brother, Jack & grandson, David. Bob is survived by loving wife of over 43 years, Debbie Hale; sons, Robert Hale, Jr. & Timothy (Tracy) Hale; daughters, Debra (Bud) Thomas & Cynthia Hale; grandchildren, Robby Hale, Tricia (Scott) Hall, Katie, Erin, and Shaun Hale, Nicki (Brian) Sweeney & Travis Hale; step-grandchildren, Devon (Jessica) Smith & Chelsea Smith; five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, very close friends and his beloved fur babies, Woopie, Wendie & Emma. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington where friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday. Burial: Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if you wish, memorial donations may be made to: Cozy Cat Cottage in Powell, Ohio.
