In 1902, Samuel Corbin moved to Worthington after graduating from Dublin High School to assist Frank P. Goble at his undertaking business at 681 High Street. He bought the business from Goble in 1916, and in 1939 his son, Frank Corbin, became a partner and the firm was named S. E. Corbin and Son Funeral Home. The firm was at this location for over 50 years.
In 1961, the Rutherford family acquired the funeral home, and it became Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home. moving to a new building constructed at 515 High Street.
