Pictured in this color photograph are, left to right, children's librarian Joan Brennan, Bob Foulk and librarian Rachel Alexander. They are at the Old Worthington Library for Foulk's and Alexander's wedding, May 8, 1982. Brennan and Foulk look on while Alexander is shown holding and smiling at a wedding gift to her and Foulk from staff, which she has just unwrapped. The gift is an Inuit sculpture of a seal.
At the time, the Old Worthington Library was the only location of Worthington Libraries. The wedding took place that evening after the library closed, with food provided by staff and Worthington mayor Lawrence Braun serving as officiant.
Alexander worked for Worthington Libraries from 1976 to 1985, and again from 1997 to 2008; during that time she served many roles, including community services librarian, children’s librarian, youth services manager and youth services materials selector.
