The “Discovery Place” signs on the computers refer to a new catalog and circulation system the Worthington Libraries had shared with the Columbus Metropolitan and Southwest Public libraries since the beginning of 1994. The new partnership gave borrowers from any one of the libraries the ability to find, reserve and check out items from all three systems. Prior to the Discovery Place partnership, the Worthington Libraries had participated in a system that linked catalogs between the Worthington and Westerville libraries.

The Discovery Place partnership continued until 2013, when the Worthington, Columbus and Southwest libraries joined the Central Library Consortium, a group of 14 libraries in central Ohio that share a catalog and resources.
