Pictured in this color photo are people gathered on the main floor of the Old Worthington Library on May 8, 1982, for librarian Rachel Alexander's wedding, which took place in the library. Shown taking a photo is the groom, Bob Foulk. The mother of the bride, Ann Zemon Alexander, is shown seated on the far right of the photo. Two other people are standing, while two other seated people are partially visible. Behind the group are magazine and newspaper racks and, hanging from the wall, a row of art prints available for checkout. The photo was taken on the main floor, with the far east wall of the building visible in the back right of the photo.

At the time, the Old Worthington Library was the only location of Worthington Libraries. Alexander's wedding to Bob Foulk took place that evening after the library closed, with food provided by staff and Worthington mayor Lawrence Braun serving as officiant.

Alexander worked for Worthington Libraries from 1976 to 1985, and again from 1997 to 2008; during that time she served many roles, including community services librarian, children’s librarian, youth services manager and youth services materials selector.
