This covered bridge provided transportation over the Olentangy River at Wilson Bridge Road. The Wilson family owned land on both sides of the Olentangy. Wilson Bridge Road then connected with Olentangy River Road on the west side. The bridge was washed away in 1911. Early plat maps show a mill located at the bend in the river.
