Three students portrayed the "Spirit of 76" during the dedication ceremony of eleven historic flags presented to the Worthington Schools. The flags were a gift from the Worthington Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in honor of the nation's Bicentennial. The dedication ceremony started with a bugle call calling attention to the approach of students representing the "Spirit of 76", followed by the Worthington High School Band and Cardinal Cadettes.
