Mary Russell (b. 1886, d. ?) is pictured sitting in the garden at her 5807 N. High St. residence. She and her husband, Mark Russell purchased the house in 1919 and subsequently the surrounding acreage, maintaining expansive gardens on the property. The house, located in Riverlea is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The elaborate gardens no longer exist at the site.
