This portrait of Esther Minerva Walker Pinney (b. 1817 , d. 1886) was taken in the 1860's. Originally from Columbus, Esther married James Pinney in 1837, and the couple had six children; Marietta, Weltha, Henry, James Franklin, Eleanor and Charles. The family lived on a farm west of the Olentangy River and just south of Worthington until 1871 when they moved to the west side of Main Street (now HIgh Street). She is buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
