Pictured in this photograph is the home built by Orville “Doc” Wilcox (b. 1893, d. 1989) at 6956 Smokey Row Road, now located just north of Snouffer Road in Perry Township. According to the 1930 census, Orville Wilcox lived in Perry township with his wife Irma Webster Wilcox and their two daughters Atha (b. 1921, d. 2015) and Aldean (b. 1922, d. 2018). Orville was employed in maintenance at a Ford Auto Plant. The girls stand in front of the home in this photograph. They attended North Perry School, now home to the Linworth Alternative Program.
