The Worthington High School Vocal Music Department performed an annual "Spring Sing" at the Worthington Elementary auditorium in May 1961, under the direction of Miss Ruth Pierce. Participants of the concert included the Worthington High School Choir, boy's ensemble, girl's ensemble, the Worthington High School Chorus, and the Freshman Girl's Glee Club. The concert was recorded and records made available for purchase through the Worthington High School music office. The Worthington High School Choir had received a Superior (I) rating at the State Choir Contest sponsored by the Ohio Music Educators Association in April, 1961.
