The first issue of the newsletter contains the announcement of the Discovery Place Libraries catalog and circulation system. It also includes a notice about the construction of the new Northwest library. The Discovery Place catalog linked together three separate library systems--the Worthington Public Libraries, Columbus Metropolitan Libraries and Southwest Public Libraries--in a cooperative catalog that shared resources. The issue also announces the first time individual due dates would be made for books. Library events are listed, including a new writer's forum as well as retirements, and other basic information.
