Atha Aline Castle Wharton, age 93 formerly of Worthington, Ohio passed away in her home on January 17, 2015 in Midland, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Irma Wilcox. She was a former owner of the Village Confectionery located on the square in Worthington, Ohio. She is survived by her husband William A. Wharton; daughters, Judy Castle , Linda Gilbertson (John) of Marshall, North Carolina and Sue Van Dyne (Steven) of Kenton, Ohio; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Deborah Fleming, William L. Wharton (Brenda), Rebecca A. Wharton (Mike Stanley), Brooks A. Wharton (Elisha); eleven step-grandchildren and six great step-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ada Aldean Alexander of San Angelo, Texas. Atha was a 1939 graduate of Worthington High School. She will be missed by her family and friends. She loved to sew, travel and her dog Bo. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Kenton, Ohio.
