Pictured here left to right are Judge Clifford, Frank Welling (Deputy Clerk of the Ohio Supreme Court), and Judge Leach at the Old Timers Banquet held at the Chittenden Hotel. The Chittenden Hotel was a historic hotel located at 205 N. High Street in Columbus, which was the corner of Spring and High streets. Frank Welling (b. 1885, d. 1977) served as 1st deputy of the Supreme Court of Ohio from 1927-1948. He was a son of Dr. D. H. Welling, and lived most of his life in Worthington. He was active in many community organizations and served as a coach for local youth sports teams.
