This color photograph shows a group gathered on the main floor of the Old Worthington Library on May 8, 1982, for librarian Rachel Alexander's wedding, which took place in the library. Nine people are shown smiling and conversing; one unidentified person faces the camera while giving another person bunny ears. Then-director Bernice Daniels is fourth-from-left in the photo, in the foreground and facing away from the camera. The group is gathered near the top of the stairs to the lower level, with the archway next to the stairs visible in the background.
At the time, the Old Worthington Library was the only location of Worthington Libraries. Alexander's wedding to Bob Foulk took place that evening after the library closed, with food provided by staff and Worthington mayor Lawrence Braun serving as officiant.
Alexander worked for Worthington Libraries from 1976 to 1985, and again from 1997 to 2008; during that time she served many roles, including community services librarian, children’s librarian, youth services manager and youth services materials selector.
