The man in this photograph is Worthington Franklin Griswold, grandson of Ezra Griswold, influential Scioto Company proprietor. He married Fondelia Ruth, daughter of the Reverend Peter Stout Ruth, rector of St.John's Church from 1861-863. He was justice of the peace, mayor of the village, and a civil engineer and surveyor. He died in 1912. His father, George Harlow Griswold, was also mayor and justice of the peace for Worthington.
